At our recent Christians United in Business meeting we discussed “Impact”. What impact do we really have on others? And while we’re thinking about it, what impact do others have on us?

Let’s check out the meaning of “impact”, One of the definitions given by the Miriam Webster Dictionary says that impact is “the force of impression of one thing on another.” I like a couple of the synonyms given – and I like them a lot: affect, impress, influence, move, reach, strike, sway, tell (on), touch; bump, collision, concussion, crash, impingement, jar, jolt, jounce, kick, shock, slam, smash, strike, wallop.

Do you have a visual on those words? Jolt! Shock! Wallop! Sway!

Is what we do every day in our life and business leaving an impact? Are you delivering service with a “wallop” to it? If we want to make an impact and be memorable to others, we have to stand out. We must always remember that, as Colossians 3:23-24 says:

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (KJV)

I encourage, no, caution you to remember that we must be BOLD for Christ and in every single thing we do have our love for Christ at the center.
